Goa, India. 25.01.2015 - 01.02.2015.
We packed our things, said goodbye to 3G, and set off to spend one week in Goa for Narina's wedding.
Why Goa? Well, there are a number of reasons - top 3 being: it's absolutely breath-taking, it's summer where Beirut is winter, and you get way more than you pay for over there.
Goa is India's smallest but richest state, so it's fair to say that it doesn't represent 'real India'. Think of Goa as the Cannes of France, or the Ibiza of Spain - a tourist-attracting destination that's gifted with beautiful land and perfect weather.
We took advantage of every minute there, visiting beaches, flea markets, speaking with locals, going to a local trance party here and there (way too hardcore for our liking though), and eating all sorts of curries.
The end of the trip was the build-up we were all waiting for. Narina's wedding day came and went like a dream. It was enchanting, endearing, and harmonious. It was radiant with love and happiness. Everything was just right.
Before we knew it, we were on the plane back to Beirut, not being able to discern that whole week in Goa. All we know is that something happened there, something magical.
