New Kids on the Block: SECOND ST.

One of the sweetest parts of our job is to keep an eye on the emergence of new brands from the local fashion scene. Even better is when we are the target for the brand, one we'd actually buy and wear. SECOND ST. is one of those brands.

SECOND ST. is a new socially conscious brand with a playful and progressive take on the classic shirt, created by Sarah Hermez and Tracy Moussi.

Sarah and Tracy both lived in New York a few years back while they studied at Parsons the Newschool for Design in New York City.

They lived at 2nd St, in Alphabet city, and that's where the idea for the brand came up.

They wanted to create a modern and dynamic brand that didn't fall victim to the corporate face of fashion and the exclusivity of the design world. It would also be a brand that could help foster the talent of budding designers - and they did just that with SECOND ST. The girls came up with a way for the brand to support free creative education, in a partnership with Creative Space Beirut.

It must be so cool for them to see it finally come to life. Turn your ideas into reality people!

SECOND ST. Official Launch

The brand is officially launching this Saturday 12pm at Bokja in Saifi Village and we can't wait to get a look at the t-shirts and try them on. That, and they will be serving Bloody Marys, Spritzers, and Punch as well as a brunch menu from Bread Republic.

Don't miss it!
