(This is an updated version of "Top 4 Bridal Shops in Beirut", published July 2014.)
First off we want to wish you a huge congratulations and hope you search for and find the wedding dress you absolutely love.
If you are searching to buy or rent a wedding dress in Beirut, we rounded up the top 5 bridal boutiques that we recommend you start checking out first before other options.
Here are a few pointers to consider before you start your search and then find the list of boutiques in no particular order.
A Few Pointers Before You Start Searching
Try On Every Style of Wedding Dresses: When going to try on wedding dresses for the first few times, even if you think some dresses are not your style, try them on anyways. Try every shape and cut of wedding dresses, you may be surprised what ends up complimenting your body the best.
Consider Possible Time Constraints: Time constraint is something you will face if you are considering to custom-make your own dress or order a dress from the USA for example. They can both take around 3-6 months, and if you're very lucky, 1.5-2 months. Ask about time needed for ordering or making a wedding dress immediately when you find something you like! Don't leave it to the end, you may find out it needs way more time than you thought, and you'll be left having to consider another option.
Set Your Budget Before You Shop: Everything always comes back to the budget you have set aside. Whether a big or small budget, the first thing to think about is how you'll be splitting it. For example: do you want to buy the dress and just rent the veil (you'd be surprised how much a veil can add on to the budget)? Do you want to spend $800 on beautiful crystal-encrusted stilettos or would you rather pay $300 for good-enough-looking platforms that will pretty much never show under your huge dress?
Sacrifice Style for Comfort When Choosing Your Shoes: When it comes to picking your shoes, as per every bride's advice, go for comfort, comfort, comfort! Unless you plan on being the bride who needs to sit down every five minutes.

Top 5 Bridal Shops in Beirut
1. Something Blue Beirut
Something Blue opened its doors two years ago and it's definitely one of our favorite bridal stores. Cynthia Nakhle is the owner and a friend who decided to open Something Blue because she saw that there was a missing segment in Lebanon that offers modern, trendy wedding gowns at an affordable price. She travels and hand selects wedding gowns mainly from young and hip bridal designers in New York.
If you are a young bride on a tight budget but with a flair for style, we definitely recommend you visit this boutique.
Cynthia also gets loads of cool headpieces, belts, and accessories that she will most likely help you style when you are trying on some dresses.
Just to make us love her more, she runs one of the best and most active social media accounts around town that keeps us swooning all over fabulous wedding photos.

Pronovias is a family firm that began life in El Suizo, a prestigious Barcelona store founded in 1922 that specialized in the lace, embroidery and high-quality silk fabrics demanded by the brides of Catalonia's high society. Today Pronovias has 150 stores and 4250 sales points in more than 72 countries where the brands and their products can be found, one of which is Beirut.
Especially important to highlight is that Pronovias and Elie Saab have a collaboration in which Elie Saab provides designs exclusively to Pronovias stores in a line called 'Elie by Elie Saab'. These designs are different than the designs you will find at his own boutique and when visiting Pronovias you can see the designs digitally but they not physically available at the store for you to try on. If you like something, Pronovias will have it ordered for you.
Follow Pronovias on Facebook and Instagram (@pronovias), but these are global accounts and not specific to Lebanon.

Noiva's has four different locations in Lebanon and have been around for an astounding 32 years. They offer one of the largest collections in the country which include Bridal Gowns, Evening Wear, Flower Girls, Men's Tuxedos, as well as Accessories.
What we love the most is that Noiva's publish their collections online so you can really get a good idea of what you want to try on before you go. It can definitely be overwhelming so see so many wedding dresses live without having an idea of what you are going for.
